SUNY Poly Represents at Riggie Run
Sitrin Health Care Center held their first-ever Riggie Run, Walk & Riggiefest (formerly known as the Stars & Stripes Run and Walk) on SUNY Poly’s campus this past October.
The event, which had over 350 participants, is the primary fundraiser for Sitrin’s military program that provides comprehensive, complimentary care to post-9/11 veterans and service members affected by post-traumatic stress, suicidal ideations, traumatic brain injuries, depression, and other combat-related conditions.
A group of SUNY Poly staff, faculty and alumni, as well as friends, formed a team to participate in either the 5K run or Two-Mile Walk.
“SUNY Poly is always honored to host community events on our campus,” said Assistant Vice President of Development Andrea LaGatta. “We are especially grateful that Sitrin has chosen our campus as the host site for their annual run benefitting its military program for the past several years. The program provides critical services to our veterans and service members, and our SUNY Poly team was happy to support this important cause.”
The event is slated to return to SUNY Poly’s campus on October 13, 2024.
