Together, the partners are creating a unified ecosystem where ideas move more quickly from the laboratory to real-world impact.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For SUNY Poly, the partnership reflects a long-standing commitment to collaboration and hands-on learning. As a polytechnic institution rooted in applied education and industry engagement, SUNY Poly plays&nbsp;a central role&nbsp;in connecting research, students, and technology. Through the Collective, faculty and students gain new opportunities to work alongside clinicians and scientists on&nbsp;cutting-edge&nbsp;biomedical challenges\u2014right here in the Mohawk Valley.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis partnership reflects a shared vision and belief in what\u2019s possible when education, research, and clinical practice come together,\u201d said SUNY Poly President Winston O. Soboyejo. \u201cThrough the MV Biotech Collective, we are cultivating an environment where innovation thrives, students and researchers work side by side, and discoveries made here in Utica have an impact far beyond our region.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>While MMRI, MVHS, and SUNY Poly have each advanced biotechnology initiatives independently for years, the formation of the Collective&nbsp;removes&nbsp;traditional barriers to collaboration. Clinicians, scientists, faculty, and students can now more easily pursue shared projects, joint grant opportunities, and interdisciplinary research that spans institutional boundaries.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Collective is&nbsp;also&nbsp;designed to fuel entrepreneurship and economic growth. By supporting the development of new biomedical companies and high-value intellectual property, the partnership serves as a catalyst for job creation and regional investment\u2014further strengthening the connection between SUNY Poly, its alumni, and the broader community.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Looking ahead, the three institutions&nbsp;will&nbsp;establish&nbsp;joint committees and develop coordinated three-, five-, and ten-year strategic plans to guide the Collective\u2019s growth.
