President’s Message

Dear SUNY Poly Alumni,

This year, SUNY Polytechnic Institute celebrates a milestone that belongs to all of us: 60 years of excellence, innovation, and impact. Sixty years of educating students. Sixty years of expanding opportunity, and several decades of alumni carrying the values of SUNY Poly into the world.

As we mark this moment, I invite you to take part in one of the most meaningful days of our year—SUNY Poly’s Day of Giving on March 26. This 24-hour opportunity brings the Wildcat community together around a shared purpose: supporting our students. Every gift, no matter the size, directly strengthens scholarships, academic resources, athletics, and the experiences that help our students learn, lead, and thrive.

SUNY Poly is entering this anniversary year with remarkable momentum. Since last fall, we have welcomed the largest incoming undergraduate class in our history, expanded academic and experiential learning opportunities, launched an Office of Workforce Development, and deepened our commitment to student success and ethical, real-world education. Many of these accomplishments, and the people behind them, are highlighted throughout this edition of the magazine.

These initiatives reflect who we are and where we are going: investments in hands-on learning and innovation, expanded student support, and new opportunities that prepare students not just for their first job, but for thoughtful leadership in a rapidly changing world.

At the center of all of this progress are our students, as well as the alumni who believe in them. None of what we are building happens by chance. It happens because alumni stay connected. Because you give back. Because you continue to invest in SUNY Poly’s mission and future.

As we celebrate 60 years, I hope you will consider making a gift on March 26 and being part of what comes next. Your generosity honors the past, strengthens the present, and helps build a future filled with possibility.

Thank you for your loyalty, your pride, and your belief in SUNY Poly.

With gratitude,

Wole Soboyejo
President
SUNY Polytechnic Institute
