Wildcat Homecoming Weekend (Recap) – Sep. 19 & 20

Wildcat Homecoming Weekend 2025 brought alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends back to campus for an unforgettable celebration of Wildcat pride. Throughout the weekend, the spirit of connection and tradition was on full display as generations of alumni returned to relive memories, reconnect with classmates, and experience the continued evolution of SUNY Polytechnic Institute.

Friday, September 19

SUNY Poly Athletics proudly hosted its Athletic Hall of Fame Ceremony, honoring outstanding former student-athletes, coaches, and contributors whose achievements have left a lasting mark on Wildcat history. The event brought together inductees, their families, teammates, and supporters for an evening of recognition, reflection, and celebration.

Each honoree’s accomplishments—both on and off the field—represent the dedication, leadership, and competitive spirit that define SUNY Poly Athletics. The ceremony served not only as a tribute to past excellence, but also as an inspiration to current and future Wildcats striving to build on that legacy.

Saturday, September 20

Saturday morning featured the Alumni Awards Breakfast, recognizing distinguished graduates whose professional achievements and service reflect the very best of the Wildcat community. A highlight of the morning was the Wildcat Induction Ceremony honoring the Class of 1975 during their Inaugural 50th Class Reunion—an especially meaningful milestone that underscored the enduring bonds formed on campus.


Families and community members joined in the fun throughout the day. Campus tours offered alumni the opportunity to see firsthand how SUNY Poly continues to grow, innovate, and invest in student success.

Athletic events and informal gatherings throughout the weekend further strengthened connections, bridging past and present Wildcats in celebration of shared pride. Whether reconnecting with former classmates, meeting current students, or engaging with faculty and staff, attendees experienced what makes the Wildcat community so special: a deep sense of belonging and forward-looking optimism.
