SUNY Poly has once again earned exceptional recognition in the U.S. News & World Report<\/em> 2025 Best Colleges rankings, solidifying its place among the top-performing universities in the region. The institute achieved notable rankings across multiple categories, including a top 10 placement among New York State public schools in the “Top Public Schools Regional Universities-North” category. Furthermore, SUNY Poly surged an impressive 40 spots into the top 30 for “Best Value Schools” in the same region and maintained its top 30 standing for “Top Performers on Social Mobility.”\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SUNY Poly graduates enjoy substantial benefits from their education. According to U.S. Department of Education data, graduates earn 20 percent more than the national median salary for those who attended a four-year college while carrying less than half the national median student debt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the ninth consecutive year, SUNY Poly earned a top 10 spot in the “Best Colleges for Veterans Regional Universities-North” category, a testament to the university\u2019s strong ties to the military community, given its proximity to the Air Force Research Laboratory in Rome, NY, and Fort Drum military reservation. The university also ranked No. 13 in “Top Public Schools” and placed in the top 35 overall for Regional Universities-North. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The U.S. News & World Report<\/em> annual rankings are based on the Carnegie Classification of institutions and evaluate colleges and universities on key metrics such as student outcomes, peer assessments, faculty resources, social mobility, graduate indebtedness, and student selectivity.
