Build a camera obscura to safely view the eclipse with Associate Professor Christina Boylan.

Exploring the Science and Culture of Eclipses

1:15 p.m. | Student Center Multi-Purpose Room

Learn about the fascinating science and history behind solar eclipses. Dr. Sing Chi Leung, astrophysicist, and Dr. Christina Boylan, historian, will give a lecture on these topics, as well as an explanation of safety protocols before viewing the eclipse.

Half Moons, Eclipse Glasses, and Kahoot!

2:15 p.m. | Wildcat Field House

Enjoy refreshments, pick up your solar eclipse glasses, and play Eclipse Triva in the Wildcat Field House. 

Solar Eclipse Viewing

2:45pm

The crowd will head outside to view the eclipse. The height of the eclipse is expected to take place at 3:15 p.m.
