During today’s Convocation, Dr. Lauren Endres, A During today’s Convocation, Dr. Lauren Endres, Associate Professor of Biology, shared her journey as a first-generation college student, the setbacks, perseverance, and lessons that shaped her into the professor she is today.

Her advice to the Class of 2029:
1. Don’t be afraid to lean on your professors.
2. Embrace subjects outside your comfort; zone you never know when they’ll matter.
3. Be open to different perspectives.
