Dear SUNY Poly Alumni, <\/p>\n\n\n

As we look toward the future of SUNY Polytechnic Institute, I am filled with gratitude for the enduring spirit and support of our alumni community. Together, we are building on a proud tradition of academic excellence, innovation, and service that continues to make a difference across New York State and beyond. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year is one of remarkable achievement. In March, we celebrated the renaming of our Department of Nursing to the School of Nursing in honor of its 50th anniversary, a milestone that reflects both our rich history and our bright future in preparing healthcare leaders. Our College of Business earned prestigious AACSB reaccreditation, a distinction held by fewer than six percent of business schools worldwide. Our engineering students brought home the Grand Champion title from the 2025 National Fluid Power Vehicle Challenge, a testament to the power of hands-on learning and collaboration. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will open the doors of the NYSTEC Center for Business Excellence in Donovan Hall later this month, made possible by a transformative $500,000 pledge from NYSTEC, $100,000 gift from Steve \u201906 and Gina \u201903 Surace, and additional generous support from alumni and friends, including Greg \u201815 & Maryrose \u201805 Raab, the Community Foundation, M&T Bank\/Partners Trust Bank Charitable Fund, Robert Ablett Memorial Fund, Community Investment Fund, Senator James H. Donovan Memorial Fund, Jerome \u201875 & Donna Donovan, First Source Federal Credit Union, and Joseph M. Asselta Charitable Trust This new interdisciplinary hub will integrate innovation, entrepreneurship, and emerging fields like artificial intelligence to prepare the next generation of business leaders.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, we signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Assured Information Security (AIS), founded by SUNY Poly alumnus Charles Green, to strengthen research, innovation, and workforce opportunities in cybersecurity. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

During Wildcat Homecoming Weekend (September 19-20), we will welcome back members of our very first graduating class from 1975 for their 50th reunion. This milestone celebration will also serve as a reminder of how vital alumni engagement is to our continued growth. Your involvement, as mentors, advocates, donors, and champions help fuel the opportunities, partnerships, and innovations that shape our students\u2019 futures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thank you for being an essential part of our story. I look forward to all that we will achieve together in the months and years ahead. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
